Hezbollah soldiers engaged in combat with Israeli troops near the settlement of Nabishit in eastern Lebanon and forced them to retreat. This became known on March 7 from a statement published by the movement.

It is noted that four Israeli army helicopters entered Lebanon from Syria.

"An enemy infantry unit [of Israel] has advanced towards the eastern quarter of the settlement of Nabi-Shitr (Al-Shakr quarter). When it reached the cemetery, at 23:30, a group of Islamic resistance fighters engaged it in battle, using light and medium weapons," Al Manar TV channel reports Hezbollah.

After the clash with Hezbollah soldiers, the Israeli military launched massive fire strikes, including about forty airstrikes.

At the same time, Hezbollah artillery struck the area of the clash and the withdrawal route of the Israeli forces. According to the movement's statement, residents of neighboring villages also participated in fire support.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, 16 people were killed and 35 others injured as a result of the Israeli strikes.

On the same morning, the Lebanese channel Al-Mayadeen reported on an Israeli attempt to land troops on the border of Syria and Lebanon. There were clashes in the area of the landing site. According to the Iranian state broadcaster IRIB, Israeli paratroopers and commandos wore Lebanese army uniforms for camouflage.

Al Hadath TV channel reported that one of the objectives of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) operation in the Lebanese Republic was to recover the remains of navigator Ron Arad, who was captured in 1986. The IDF later confirmed this information.
