Israeli strikes on Beirut partially destroyed hospital
As a result of a series of strikes by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on the territory of Berut, apartment buildings, a hospital and other infrastructure facilities were damaged in the city. Footage of the aftermath of the arrivals on Thursday evening, March 5, was sent by Al Mayadeen TV channel specifically for Izvestia.
"Now we see this building, which was subjected to Israeli airstrikes. These strikes led to the complete destruction of three of its floors, and neighboring buildings received very serious damage," says correspondent Abbas Sabbagh.
Behind him, there are concrete fragments and furniture scattered from the impact. In the courtyard of the affected house, you can see the structures of the destroyed cars.
A nine-story hospital was located next to the damaged civilian facilities, which was also partially destroyed by the IDF. Sabbagh clarified that this medical facility is one of the largest in the area.
"This is the picture: massive destruction everywhere. The face of these areas has changed because of these airstrikes and attacks. This reflects the ongoing violations," the journalist concluded.
In the morning of the same day, the IDF press service reported on a series of strikes in Beirut, which allegedly hit the command centers of the Hezbollah movement, with which Israel resumed fighting on March 2. Some time later, the Lebanon 24 portal, citing a statement from the Ministry of Health, reported that at least 102 people were killed and another 638 injured as a result of the attacks on Lebanon.
