The International Energy Agency (IEA) will hold an extraordinary meeting of the organization's member countries due to the situation in the Middle East. This was announced on March 3 by the head of the agency Fatih Birol.
"In connection with the events in the Middle East and their consequences for energy security, I have called an extraordinary meeting of the governments of the IEA member states today," Birol wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
According to him, the meeting will discuss the situation on the gas and oil markets. In addition, participants will discuss possible measures to respond to supply disruptions.
