Last year, Russian chocolate exports reached a historic high of almost $1 billion. This was reported on March 3 by the newspaper Vedomosti, citing data from the federal center Agroexport.

"By the end of 2025, the export of Russian chocolate confectionery products amounted to 224 thousand tons in physical terms and $985 million in monetary terms," the publication says.

The previous record was set in 2021, when Russian producers exported chocolate worth $864 million. Thus, the new figure exceeded the previous maximum by $121 million. At the same time, the volume of exports in physical terms remained at the level of the year before last, experts said.

It is noted that Russian manufacturers, thanks to long-term contracts and reserves of raw materials, were able to restrain cost growth longer than their foreign competitors.

Earlier in the day, Interfax reported that tea exports from Russia in 2025 amounted to over $96 million, which is 11% more than in 2024. It is noted that in physical terms, exports exceeded 12 thousand tons. Black tea remained the main product, accounting for 78% of supplies, green tea — 16%, the rest — teas with flavoring additives.
