One in five Russians is ready to spend up to 25% of their monthly income on babysitting services. This is evidenced by the results of a survey of 3,000 users aged 18 to 65 years of the <url> financial marketplace, which Izvestia reviewed on March 4.

According to the study, 45% of respondents already allocate or plan to allocate a budget for additional child care services, such as babysitting or a private kindergarten. At the same time, 28% prefer a nanny: of these, 20% are willing to spend up to a quarter of the income of one family member, and another 8% — up to half of the salary of one of the spouses. 17% of respondents choose a private kindergarten.: 10% are ready to allocate up to 25% of income to him, 7% — up to 50% of the salary of one of the parents.

Financial motives remain the main reason for seeking additional assistance. Thus, 42% of the survey participants noted that getting both parents to work would help them achieve important goals faster. Among them are the expansion of living space (48%), repairs (18%), car purchase (12%) and loan closure (12%). Another 25% of respondents indicated that babysitting or private gardening services are necessary for the career growth and self-realization of spouses. One in five admitted that help is required due to the presence of several small children, and 13% associate this with maintaining balance and well-being.

At the same time, 34% of respondents prefer to take care of their child on their own without involving outside help. Another 20% reported that their grandparents help them with child care.

"Today, the birth of a child is becoming not only an important event for a family, but also a starting point for reviewing its financial strategy, which compatriots increasingly include expenses for child care," said the executive director of the financial marketplace "Choose.<url>" Yaroslav Badzhurak.

Olga Gulyaeva, HR and Corporate Culture Director at Adviros HR Company, spoke on February 26 about approaches to supporting women returning to work after maternity leave and the impact of this process on the corporate environment. She noted that employers encourage early retirement from parental leave and offer flexible employment formats. Women can work in part-time mode, as well as choose a hybrid format, if the functionality of the position allows it.
