The IDF responded to Iran's reports about the defeat of Netanyahu's office
On March 2, Major Anna Ukolova of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reserve denied information about Iran launching a missile attack on the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
She noted that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) allegedly regularly publishes false reports, using the media to spread its own version of events, often far from reality.
"The IRGC is known for its ability to produce releases that do not correspond to reality, and the cynical use of media representatives to spread the fruits of their imagination. Very often, there is no connection between reports from the IRGC that appear in the media and reality," the major said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran on the morning of February 28. Also, the American leader Donald Trump announced the beginning of a US military operation against Iran. Military installations in western Iran, an elementary school in the city of Minab, as well as the residence of the country's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed, were hit. On March 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian in connection with the murder of Khamenei.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, who stated that Tehran intends to teach the aggressors who attacked it "the lesson they deserve," on March 2 called on the United Nations to hold the United States and Israel accountable for the assassination of Iran's supreme leader.
The press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported on the same day that the Iranian Air Force had attacked the government quarter in Tel Aviv, facilities of the military-industrial complex (MIC) and security companies in Haifa. In addition, they attacked the territory of East Jerusalem. Later, SNN reported on the destruction of the US base in Bahrain and the American consulate in Iraq.
