The families of Russians who cannot fly out of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to the escalation in the Middle East have been waiting for the return of their loved ones for the second day. The relevant materials are published by Izvestia on March 2.

The family of one of the tourists named Victoria, who was stuck in Dubai, spoke about the situation at home. According to the girl's mother, flights from the UAE were suspended due to the political situation, and the planned return did not take place.

"The family is waiting, the children are waiting, I am waiting. The mother's heart, of course, worries and worries, but we keep calm," she said.

Victoria herself shares videos and photos from Dubai with her family — according to her, the situation there is calm.

Victoria's daughter added that the tourist went on a cruise and was supposed to return on February 28. The relatives expressed hope that the situation would be resolved soon and the Russians would be able to return home.

Airports in Dubai, the largest city in the United Arab Emirates, suspended operations indefinitely later that day due to the escalation of the conflict between Israel, the United States and Iran. Aeroflot cancelled all its flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi at that time. This measure was extended until March 3.

Russian tourists were unable to return to Moscow from Doha, the capital of Qatar. They noted that at night there were signs of anti-aircraft defense (air defense) work in the sky, but during the day the situation became calm and people walked along the street, and shops continued to work.
