The United States reported the death of three American soldiers during an operation in Iran.

Three soldiers of the American Armed Forces (AF) were killed during an operation in Iran. This was announced on March 1 by the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM).

"Three American servicemen were killed in action and five were seriously injured as part of Operation Epic Fury. Several others received minor shrapnel wounds and concussions," the ministry said in a statement on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The command clarified that the injured soldiers are returning to service. CENTCOM also noted that the situation is "constantly changing," so the identities of the victims will not be disclosed a day after the notification of relatives.

The day before, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that about 200 soldiers of the American army were killed or injured in Iran's retaliatory strikes.
