"As a result of yesterday's enemy attacks, the head of the law enforcement intelligence organization died a martyr's death," the report says.

Details of the officer's death are not provided.

Rezaian was appointed head of the Intelligence Organization of the Iranian Police on January 29, 2023. This decision was made as part of a reshuffle in the Iranian security forces that followed a wave of protests in the country.
