At least 10 people were killed in a shooting outside the US consulate in the Pakistani city of Karachi. This was reported by the Fars news agency on March 1.

"News sources report the deaths of at least 10 Pakistanis shot in front of the consulate," a message on the social network X (ex.Twitter).

According to eyewitnesses, security forces opened fire on demonstrators who tried to storm the building. Izvestia publishes footage from the scene, which shows a crowd of people and the presence of the military.

The protesters, armed with sticks and wearing masks, broke into the courtyard of the consulate and tried to break the armored windows. Subsequently, shots were fired, resulting in the deaths of people.

On the same day, it became known about the death of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Against this background, rallies began in the country. Protesters in the squares chant slogans "Death to America" and "Death to Israel," waving the country's flags and portraits of Khamenei. The Iraqi government has declared three days of mourning after Khamenei's death.

On February 28, the United States announced the start of a large-scale military operation with Israel against Iran. The Israeli and American military attacked the republic, including a school in the city of Minab. According to the latest data, 148 children died as a result of the attack.
