This will be the largest and most significant round of collective price adjustments in the mobile phone industry in almost five years," the publication says.

Purchase prices for memory chips for smartphones, according to the agency, increased by more than 80% compared to the same period in 2025. At the same time, there are no signs of slowing growth yet. Against this background, a number of major manufacturers, including Oppo, OnePlus, Vivo, Xiaomi and Honor, are planning to make another price adjustment.

According to analysts cited by the agency, the sharp increase in chip prices is due to a reduction in global supply and a recovery in demand for consumer electronics. Fluctuations in the semiconductor industry are expected to continue to have an impact on retail prices.
