- A criminal case has been opened against the mother of a boy killed in St. Petersburg.
A criminal case has been opened against the mother of a nine-year-old boy, Pasha Tifitulin, who was killed in St. Petersburg. This was announced on February 20 by a source of Izvestia.
He clarified that the case was opened on February 19 under the article on failure to fulfill the duties of raising a minor, combined with ill-treatment.
According to the preliminary version, the woman deliberately failed to fulfill her parental duties, which led to the formation of signs of deviant behavior in her son. As a result, according to the investigation, this led to a violation of sexual integrity and the murder of a child.
On February 11, dozens of people gathered at the Southern Cemetery of St. Petersburg to say goodbye to Pasha, as mourners carried flowers and exchanged short speeches with each other. The newcomers, forming a queue, stand under the fine snow, wipe away their tears and support each other. Many carry red carnations, white roses and chrysanthemums in their hands. The place of farewell is guarded by representatives of law enforcement agencies and the Russian Guard.
Pasha's disappearance became known on February 1. Then it was reported that the child had already been searched for three days. At that time, surveillance cameras were examined, and later information appeared about the possible abduction of a minor. A source told Izvestia the next day that the alleged abductor, who arrived in St. Petersburg from the Luhansk People's Republic, offered children to ride his car in the parking lot of a hypermarket for money.
The arrest of a man in the case of the abduction of a nine-year-old boy became known on February 3. He confessed that he drowned Pasha in one of the local reservoirs for allegedly blackmailing him with information about the content of child pornography on the laptop. The criminal clarified that he had previously known the victim, as he repeatedly washed his car.
On February 3, Izvestia visited the place where the bound body of a minor was found. At the same time, it became known that the deceased was brought up in a large and, previously, dysfunctional family that was starving. The source clarified that none of the relatives of Pasha, who had never attended school, knew that he was wiping the headlights in parking lots.
On the same day, Tatyana Butskaya, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, first deputy chairman of the Committee for the Protection of the Family, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, called on the authorities of St. Petersburg to give a report on the living conditions of the murdered boy. On February 3, the court arrested the suspect in the boy's murder, Pyotr Zhilkin, for 1 month and 30 days. He is charged under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of a minor").
On February 6, the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation announced that a criminal case had been opened into the tragedy in accordance with Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence that negligently caused serious harm to health or death of a person") against the management of one of the schools and a social service institution in the Krasnoselsky district of the city.
