HR expert revealed the main secret of a successful resume
A good resume is not a list of all jobs, but a short and honest account of the benefits a candidate has brought to the companies he has worked for. Tatiana Bogoslovskaya, head of the recruitment sector at Fix Price, told about this on Thursday, February 19.
She clarified that when writing a resume, it is important to remember that a recruiter spends only a few minutes on an average initial review, so the document should be as clear and structured as possible.
"First of all, we recommend that you clearly indicate the desired position and key competencies. When there is a clear description of a professional profile and strengths at the beginning of a resume, the chances of being noticed are much higher," the HR expert said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
Bogoslovskaya recommended paying special attention to work experience. She stressed that it is important not just to insert responsibilities from the job description into the resume, but to indicate specific tasks performed or the result achieved.
According to the HR expert, the candidate's awareness plays a major role in the interview. It is important for an employer to see that a person understands why they are joining this particular company and this position. It's also good when a candidate can relate their experience and skills to the job's objectives, she added.
An important addition to the resume, which helps the candidate to reveal his motivation and show why he is suitable for a particular position, is a cover letter. Bogoslovskaya explained that for an employer, the presence of such a letter is an indicator of the applicant's interest.
In addition, the HR specialist noted that recruiters are pleased when a candidate puts a photo on his resume, writes more about himself in the "about me" column and indicates key skills.
