The Europeans have no arguments in favor of the participation of the European Union (EU) in the negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This was announced on February 14 by Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov.

"Neither he nor [French President Emmanuel] has serious answers to the question of why the Europeans are needed in the negotiations. Macron, nor [the head of the European diplomacy, Kai] Callas," he said in a message on the Telegram channel.

He also added that Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikroski also did not provide arguments in favor of EU participation in the negotiations. Pushkov also added that the Europeans are not able to bring anything but disruption to the conflict settlement process.

Wolfgang Ischinger, Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, said on February 14 that Europe had completely withdrawn from resolving the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, the leading players in the discussions on the Ukrainian issue are the Russian Federation and the United States.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on February 13 that the Europeans would be absent from the next round of trilateral talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine on resolving the Ukrainian crisis in Geneva.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
