Poland has announced the start of the use of the new Russian TOC-3 Dragon in its area
Russian troops have begun using the latest heavy flamethrower system (TOS–3) "Dragon" in Ukraine. This was reported on February 11 by Polish journalist Philip Mielczarek in the Interia edition.
The author of the article notes that the appearance of this system at the front is "very bad news" for the Ukrainian troops. The Dragon uses thermobaric projectiles and can destroy fortified positions completely.
"The explosion "sucks out" the air over a significant area, so thermobaric weapons kill all living things, creating a sharp pressure drop and oxygen deficiency," the article says.
Melcharek also adds that the temperature in the epicenter of the explosion can reach 3,000 degrees Celsius, and such injuries leave no chance of survival. The journalist emphasizes that there is no effective protection against these weapons.
"At the moment, the only way to neutralize the Dragons is to use FPV drones before they deliver a fatal blow," he concluded.
On January 26, Uraldronzavod announced the use by the Russian military of new UAVs with increased payload "Upyr-18" in Kupyansk and Konstantinovsky areas of special operations. It was noted that this type of drone can carry a 10 kg mine for tens of kilometers to destroy fortified dugouts and enemy positions.
