Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), admitted on February 12 that he really could not resist trolling British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

"That's right, I can't resist," he ironically confessed on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Dmitriev responded accordingly to the publication of the British edition of HuffPost UK, whose staff stated that Putin's special representative "cannot resist trolling" the British prime minister.

The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund added that Starmer should not delay his potential resignation, which could turn into "the longest and most humiliating public failure in the history of Britain."

Dmitriev said the day before that Starmer was constantly failing in his activities — according to the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, he was failing in everything, including sanctions. The Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation recommended the British Prime Minister to act not as his instincts tell him, but on the contrary.

A few days earlier, Dmitriev, commenting on the resignation of Morgan McSweeney, Starmer's chief of staff, suggested that this could be followed by the departure of the Prime minister himself. At the same time, over 60% of Britons, according to a YouGov study, expressed the opinion that the current British prime minister would step down before the end of the year.
