Less than 25% of reserves remain in the Baltic States' only gas storage facility, which could create serious problems in the region and Finland. This was announced on February 12 by the Gazprom press service.

"Less than 25% of reserves remain in the Inchukalna underground gas storage facility, the only one in the Baltic States," the company wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that all the gas harvested for the winter period has already been taken from the storage, and 100 million cubic meters of gas remained at the lowest level in the last five years, with an average consumption level of 10 million cubic meters. This may create difficulties for gas supply to consumers.

"The trend towards the rapid depletion of gas reserves in European underground storage facilities continues," the statement added.

On January 11, Gazprom's press service reported that the filling level in underground gas storage facilities in Germany and France had dropped below 50%. It was noted that the cold weather in Europe stimulates the accelerated consumption of resources from storage facilities.
