A court in Ufa has placed a student who attacked students in a dormitory under arrest for two months.

A court in Ufa has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months for a 15-year-old teenager suspected of attacking students in a dormitory at a medical university. On February 9, a correspondent of Izvestia reported this from the courtroom.

"To choose a preventive measure for the accused in the form of detention for a period of two months," the judge issued a verdict.

The minor accused will remain in jail until April 7, 2026.

The head of the surgical department of Ufa Hospital No. 17, Aybulat Alibayev, said that the attacker of the dormitory is in stable but serious condition, he has been placed in intensive care. Later, on February 7, the rector of Bashkir Medical University, Valentin Pavlov, announced that the lives of the students injured during the attack in Ufa were not in danger.
