Russia's conditions in negotiations with Ukraine were announced by Russian leader Vladimir Putin and remain unchanged. This was announced on February 2 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.

"As for the conditions, they are public. They were first formulated by the President of the Russian Federation [Vladimir Putin] when he spoke at a board meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. And they remain unchanged," Medvedev said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, at the talks in Anchorage, Russian representatives once again informed these conditions to their American colleagues. He said that in Donbas and Novorossiya, Russia defends itself and its people, while Kiev commits war crimes.

"I will say this: you cannot forgive for a number of crimes. It's just a desecration of the memory of the people who died. These are not only war crimes. These may be terrorist acts, and they cannot be forgiven," said the deputy chairman of the Security Council.

Medvedev also noted that the Kremlin's recognition of the results of the elections in Ukraine will depend on how these elections will be held. He also recalled the unacceptability of deploying a foreign contingent in the country as a guarantee of security.

Yesterday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a new round of trilateral talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine on the settlement of the conflict would be held in Abu Dhabi on February 4-5.

Zelensky announced on January 30 that he refuses to withdraw troops from Donbass for the sake of peace in Ukraine. He noted that he would not give up Donbass and the Zaporizhia NPP without a fight.

Last December, Russian President Vladimir Putin also announced that the Russian Federation would liberate Donbass and Novorossiya in any case, by military means or otherwise. He noted that Russia offered Ukraine to withdraw troops from Donbass and not to start military operations, but Kiev chose to fight.
