Dmitriev called on Ukraine and Europe to support the US peace plan
On January 30, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special presidential envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, called on Ukraine and its European partners to support the peace plan of American President Donald Trump, rather than shifting responsibility for problems to each other.
So, he commented on the statements of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky that Ukraine did not receive a batch of missiles for air defense systems because of European countries.
"Ukraine and Europe need to fully support Trump's peace plan, instead of blaming each other," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
The day before, the US president said that he remains confident in the possibility of resolving the Ukrainian conflict. According to the American leader, his team, in particular Witkoff and Kushner, is working very hard on this issue.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on January 28 that negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict in Abu Dhabi would continue on February 1. At the same time, he noted that the negotiations on Ukraine in Abu Dhabi turned out to be very difficult and sensitive.
