Thermometers in Moscow may drop to values from -15 to -23 degrees by the end of the week. This was announced on January 28 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

"At the end of this week (from January 26 to February 1. — Ed.), since Friday, the temperature has dropped again -15 degrees at night...20 [degrees], and the weekend, on Saturday, is even lower, to -23," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The agency's interlocutor explained the potential decrease in temperature by changes in air circulation, in which air flows will flow not from the south, but from the northeast.

On January 23, Madinat Sepikhanov, head of the sanatorium department of the NIKI of Childhood, told how parents can survive abnormal frosts with their children. She recommended that minors be dressed for a walk, which should not exceed 40 minutes, according to the "three layers of clothing" rule. The first layer should remove moisture, the second should keep warm, and the third should protect from wind and snow. The expert called on adults raising infants under three months of age to refrain from going outside with them. Instead, Sepikhanov suggested leaving the stroller with the newborn at the open window for a short nap.
