Belarus reports full resumption of trucks crossing the border with Lithuania
Lithuania has completely resumed the passage of trucks across the border with Belarus. This was announced by the State Border Committee of Belarus.
"The Lithuanian control services have resumed the full registration of cargo vehicles," the agency said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
Earlier it was reported that Lithuania suspended the entry of trucks to the Myadininkai checkpoint on the border with Belarus. The restriction was due to technical failures in the operation of the software of customs information systems.
Earlier, on January 21, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov said that the ministry would consider the need to open a "window of opportunity" for cooperation with Lithuania. According to him, the Lithuanian government "does not think and is not going to think about its people."
Prior to that, in December last year, Ryzhenkov accused Lithuania of provocation on the Belarusian border. He noted that information has emerged that the European Union (EU) is ready to allocate more than €6 billion to Lithuania, but this money will not be used to develop infrastructure or social projects, but to create barriers and weapons. However, according to the Foreign Minister, the Lithuanian military does not know how to use these funds effectively.
