In the Saratov region, a hunter inadvertently killed himself during an accident. A source told Izvestia about this on January 24.

At night, two men went hunting in the forest belt of the Novoburassky district on a snowmobile. One was driving the vehicle, and the other sat in the back, holding a rifle on his shoulder.

While driving, the man behind the wheel lost control, the snowmobile skidded, and the passenger accidentally shot himself in the head. He died on the spot.

Earlier, on January 5, in the Leningrad region, a hunter shot at a car, mistaking it for an elk, and fatally wounded a passenger. It was clarified that the 27-year-old man was in the forest as part of a hunting group tracking a moose when the incident occurred.
