Gazprom pointed to the highest gas prices in Germany since June 2025
Gas prices in Germany have reached their highest level since June 2025. This was reported in the Gazprom press service on January 20.
"Gas prices in Germany for next—day delivery have increased by 26% since the beginning of the year and reached the highest levels since June 2025," the company's Telegram channel says.
Gazprom attributes the increase in gas prices in the country to the high rates of gas extraction from domestic storage facilities. According to the publication, the storage capacity in Germany dropped to 42.2%.
On January 11, Gazprom's press service reported that the filling level in underground gas storage facilities in Germany and France had dropped below 50%. It was noted that the cold weather in Europe stimulates the accelerated consumption of resources from storage facilities.
