Moskvich car sales decreased by a third over the year

In 2025, 15.6 thousand new Moskvich cars were sold in Russia, which is 33% less than in 2024. This was reported on January 20 by the analytical agency Autostat.

The Moskvich 3 crossover accounted for more than 81% of the brand's total sales, with a circulation of 12.7 thousand units. Another 10% is occupied by the Moskvich 6 liftback (1.5 thousand units).

The remaining 9% share is shared by the electric crossover Moskvich 3e and the flagship suv Moskvich 8, as well as the Moskvich 5, which did not go on mass sale. Their combined result was 1.4 thousand cars.

Earlier, on December 25, it was reported that the Moskvich automobile plant would begin selling cars from the new M-line in early spring 2026. Prior to that, on December 16, Moskvich announced new crossovers. Both models are no longer based on JAC models, as before, but on cars of the British-Chinese MG brand.
