There is only one microdistrict of Kherson left, which has full-fledged heating and water supply. This was announced on January 20 by the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo.

"The city itself (Kherson — Ed.), of course, is in a very serious condition. The only neighborhood is Tavrichesky, which is the farthest district from the Dnieper River, where there is heating, some electricity, and water supply," Saldo said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He noted that in all other districts of Kherson, there are widespread unplanned power outages. At the same time, there is "no heating at all in many houses, people are heated as best they can."

In December last year, Baldo reported that drone operators of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were hiding in the apartments of civilians in Kherson. He also noted that the Ukrainian army mines the coastline on the Quarantine Island, fearing the actions of intelligence officers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The head of the region stressed that civilians are being blown up by these mines.
