Electricity supply was cut off in 25 settlements of the Kherson region due to a technical failure at a substation in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on January 18 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo.
"As a result of a technical failure at a substation in the Zaporizhia region, power supply was cut off in 23 settlements of the Cheketikhsky and Gornostayevsky districts. There was also an emergency power outage in the villages of Genichesky Gorka and Shchastytsevo in the Genichesky MO," the report says.
According to him, despite the difficult weather conditions, emergency recovery teams are already working to eliminate the causes of the failure and restore power supply.
On January 15, the Governor of the Zaporizhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky, announced that about 87,000 consumers in the Zaporizhia region were left without electricity due to an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was clarified that outages occurred in Vasilyevsky, Kamensk-Dneprovsky, Mikhailovsky, Priazovsky, Primorsky and Tokmak municipal districts and in the city of Energodar.
