On January 16, eyewitnesses of the incident, during which police officers were forced to open fire on a Porsche SUV in Balashikha, told Izvestia the details of the incident.
"They opened fire on the wheels, apparently to avoid escape. He accelerated again, drove to the other side of the road, and got stuck in a snowdrift...> The passenger was a man, about 38 years old," said Anton, an eyewitness.
According to the Izvestia source, Ravil A. turned out to be the driver of the car. The man had previously been prosecuted for theft, administrative offenses and drugs.
Earlier in the day, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, reported that in the city of Balashikha, Moscow region, police used weapons to stop illegal actions by the driver of a premium car. According to Volk, the violator was taken to the local police department, while the man refused a medical examination.
