US President Donald Trump has confirmed the transition to the next stage of the Gaza peace plan. He told about it on January 14 in social networks.
"We have officially entered the next phase of the 20-point Gaza peace plan!" the Truth Social message reads.
According to Trump, after the ceasefire in the sector, his team delivered record amounts of humanitarian aid in a very short time, providing for the civilian population.
The American leader noted that he supports the newly appointed Palestinian technocratic government as chairman of the "Peace Council." Also, with the support of Egypt, Turkey and Qatar, Trump and his team will achieve an agreement on the demilitarization of the Palestinian Hamas movement.
On December 31 last year, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his readiness to move to the second stage of a deal to resolve the situation in Gaza during negotiations with Trump. On December 29, the American leader said that in order to accelerate the process of normalizing the situation in the Gaza Strip, the complete disarmament of the Palestinian Hamas movement is necessary.
