Cloudy, with light snow and ice in places in the region — this weather awaits residents of the capital region on Thursday, January 15. The corresponding forecast is published on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center.

The air temperature in Moscow will range from -8 to -6 degrees during the day. At night, the thermometer will drop to -9.

In the Moscow region, it will be from -10 to -5 degrees during the day, and at night the temperature may drop to -12, in some places to -17 degrees.

A light easterly wind with a speed of 3-8 m/s is expected.

Atmospheric pressure will range from 757 to 762 mmHg.

On January 14, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, warned Russians about the abnormal frost this week. According to him, in some regions of the Asian and central part of the country, the temperature will drop significantly below normal. The expert predicted the most severe weather in the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansiysk districts, as well as in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where the thermometer may drop to -41 and -51 degrees, respectively.
