The press service of the Tyumen administration announced the cancellation of second-shift classes for full-time students in grades 1-4.
"Due to the low air temperature on January 14, 2026, classes in schools in the city of Kurgan from grades 1 to 11 of the first and second shifts in full-time are canceled. Classes are conducted using remote technologies," wrote the Telegram channel of the city administration.
In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, classes were canceled for all students of both shifts from January 14 to 17 (inclusive), the press service of the city district administration noted.
Representatives of the government of the Kamchatka Territory reported on January 13 that all flights in their region were postponed due to a powerful cyclone. Journalist Alexander Stepanenko, in an interview with Izvestia, stated that at that time, some motorists had already been captured by snow due to bad weather.
