On January 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the staff of the Prosecutor's office on their professional holiday.

"This holiday embodies the high state and public recognition of the importance of the work of those for whom the profession of prosecutor has become a lifelong pursuit, who faithfully and faithfully serve the law, protect the rights and freedoms of our citizens, maintain law and order, and contribute to strengthening the sovereignty of the country," he said.

The President noted that throughout successive eras, working in the prosecutor's office required integrity, personal responsibility, in-depth knowledge of the law, as well as the ability to convincingly present arguments for their decisions. Currently, it is precisely these qualities that distinguish the best representatives of the Russian prosecutor's office. For young employees, they serve as a professional reference point.

"Today, the prosecutor's office is rightfully one of the most important structures of state power. You solve a wide range of tasks to identify, suppress and prevent violations of the law, defend and restore the rights and interests of citizens, society and the state, make a significant contribution to the fight against crime and corruption, and support state charges in judicial instances," Putin continued.

He recalled that the fate and reputation of people and their faith in the justice of the state depend on the decisions taken by the prosecutor. That is why there can be no place for an indifferent and formal attitude towards the case in the work of the department's staff.

"I am confident that the staff of the Prosecutor's Office will continue to carry out their duties honestly and conscientiously, reliably guarding the law and the rule of law. I wish you good health and new successes in your work. Best wishes to your family and friends. Happy holidays!" the President concluded his address.

On November 25, Putin dismissed Gennady Lopatin, deputy head of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation. It was also noted that the President appointed Oleg Logunov as the head of the main Personnel Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation. According to the decree, Evgeny Botvinkin became the prosecutor of the Republic of Tyva, Valery Voynov became the prosecutor of the Voronezh Region, Roman Deringa became the Ural Transport Prosecutor, and Dmitry Popov became the prosecutor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug — Yugra.
