One of the astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS) has been diagnosed with health problems, and therefore the crew of the CREW-11 mission will return to Earth ahead of schedule. This was announced on January 8 by the head of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Jared Isaacman.

"Yesterday, on January 7, one crew member experienced a medical problem, and his condition is stable," Isaakman said.

The identity and diagnosis of the sick cosmonaut will not be made public.

Isaacman also noted that NASA will return the crew of the CREW-11 mission to Earth ahead of schedule. The time of return will be determined as the ship prepares and weather conditions change.

At the same time, the next mission, CREW-12, will be sent to the ISS in mid-February.

The Spaceflight Now special portal reported on January 7 that NASA representatives had begun considering the early return of the crew involved in the Crew-11 mission from the International Space Station (ISS) after one of its members had a medical problem.

The NASA press service also reported on July 31, 2025, that the launch of the Crew Dragon manned spacecraft with the crew of the Crew-11 mission to the ISS was postponed due to bad weather. It was emphasized that at that time the crew included Russian cosmonaut Oleg Platonov, as well as astronauts Zina Kardman, Michael Fink and Kimiya Yui.
