The Starlink satellite communications system company will provide Venezuela with free Internet and communication services for a month. This was announced on January 4 by the company's press service.

"Starlink provides free broadband Internet access to Venezuelans <...>, ensuring uninterrupted communication," the social network X (ex. Twitter).

It is specified that these services will be available to residents of Venezuela until February 3, 2026.

On January 3, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States had successfully launched a large-scale strike against Venezuela. He noted that Venezuelan President Maduro and his wife Celia Flores were captured and taken out of the territory of the state.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called on the American leadership to release Maduro. In addition, the Ministry also stressed the need to create conditions for resolving existing problems between the parties through diplomatic means.

The American leader later stated that there was extensive evidence of Maduro's alleged crimes. Thus, the president of Venezuela, according to his information, personally supervised the activities of the Cartel de los Soles (Cartel of the Suns. — Ed.), who was transporting drugs to the United States.

Rallies have begun in New York against the backdrop of the start of the US military operation in Venezuela and the detention of Maduro. The footage shows local residents waving Venezuelan flags.
