Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro will be held in a detention center known as "hell on earth," where famous American rapper Sean Combs (P Diddy) and Mexican drug lord Joaquin Guzman Loera, known as "El Chapo," were held. This was reported on January 3 by the NewsNation portal.

"The Metropolitan Detention Center is the only federal prison in New York. This institution, which is called "hell on earth," also housed several well—known prisoners," the publication says.

The detention center is known for the fact that it once housed celebrity prisoners such as Luigi Mangione, accused of murdering Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealth, Ghislaine Maxwell, an associate of Jeffrey Epstein, and rapper Sean Combs (P Diddy).

It is specified that this institution is known for its dilapidation, unsanitary conditions and insecurity. According to the portal, the detainees complain of widespread violence and lack of staff.

On January 3, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States had successfully launched a large-scale strike against Venezuela. He noted that Maduro and his wife were captured and taken out of the territory of the state.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called on the American leadership to release Maduro. In addition, the Ministry also stressed the need to create conditions for resolving existing problems between the parties through diplomatic means.

Trump later stated that there was extensive evidence of Maduro's alleged crimes. Thus, the president of Venezuela, according to his information, personally supervised the activities of the Cartel de los Soles (Cartel of the Suns. — Ed.), who was transporting drugs to the United States.

On January 3, NBC News published footage showing how Maduro and his wife were allegedly escorted off a plane that landed in New York. According to Sky News, Maduro was surrounded by a large number of security personnel, including agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
