The Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Alexander Sanchik, who took part in the All-Russian charity event "Wish Tree" fulfilled the wishes of the children. This was announced on Saturday, January 3, by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry clarified that the deputy head of the department removed the postcards of five-year-old Dmitry from the city of Balashikha, Moscow region, and 13-year-old Angelina from the Nizhny Novgorod region from the New Year tree. The boy wrote that he dreamed of seeing himself in the role of a tanker, and the girl wrote that she would like to receive a surprise gift.

The Colonel-General, fulfilling the wish of 13-year-old Angelina, handed her a modern smartphone. He also prepared a gift for her younger sister named Veronica, who was presented with a teddy cat and a game set consisting of puzzles for spending leisure time with family members.

Fulfilling Dmitry's dream, Sanchik organized an excursion for the boy and his parents to the museum of armored vehicles, which is located in the Central Patriot Park and where unique samples of weapons from different countries are displayed. There, Dmitry, who was presented with a tankman's headset and a tank on a remote control on behalf of the Deputy Minister of Defense, visited a training complex where he controlled naval vessels, tanks and a helicopter.

Dmitry's mother Evgenia Zamorueva expressed gratitude for fulfilling the wishes of her son Dmitry.

"On behalf of our family and Dimochka personally, we thank the organizer (for fulfilling the wish. — Ed.) From the bottom of my heart, I would like to wish all the children that they believe that all dreams come true, you just have to really want to," she said.
