The Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the massive train delays on the North Caucasus Railway (NCRR). This was announced on January 1 in the press service of the department in the Telegram channel.

"The situation with disruption of passenger train schedules due to bad weather conditions remains under the control of the Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office," the department said.

It is noted that transport prosecutors have begun checking the implementation of legislation on traffic safety and operation of railway transport, as well as the observance of passengers' rights.

Based on the results of the events, the issue of the need for response measures will be considered.

On December 31, the press service of the Russian Railways reported that train No. 442 from Rostov to Adler was stopped in the Krasnodar Territory, as a result of which 18 passenger trains were delayed. The reason for the delay was the disruption of the contact network between Giray and Otrado-Kubanskaya stations due to adverse weather conditions.

On the same day, it became known that 55 trains were delayed in the Krasnodar Territory due to abnormal snowfalls and disruptions in the timetable.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
