Matvienko called on the international community to condemn the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike in the Kherson region

Russia will expect the international community to react to the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a cafe and hotel in Khorlakh, Kherson region, and condemn the attack. This was announced on January 1 by the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, in the Telegram channel.

"We are waiting for a clear reaction of condemnation from the world community, from the leaders of the states," Matvienko said.

According to her, the current leadership of Ukraine should have no political future after such actions.

She noted that the militant attack convinces Russia of its rightness and strengthens the mood to achieve all the goals of the special military operation.

Earlier in the day, 24 people died in Khorlakh, Kherson region, as a result of a strike by three drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a cafe and a hotel. Due to the explosion of the drone, a fire broke out, which was eliminated only in the morning. On the fact of the incident, the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC) opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").

According to the latest information, 29 people were hospitalized, among them children born in 2008, 2012, 2018, 2019. Six victims, including children, are in serious condition.
