Israel may reconsider its position on Turkish participation in international forces in Gaza due to difficulties involving other countries. This was reported on December 25 by the Kan News channel, citing Israeli officials.

"Turkey is currently the only country clearly ready to take on a significant role in maintaining peace in Gaza," the sources said.

It is specified that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will discuss this issue with US President Donald Trump at a meeting in Florida. Turkey is counting on pressure from the United States to allow participation in the mission, which Israel considers a "red line." In addition, Iran and the situation in Lebanon are subject to discussion, including the disarmament of Hezbollah and the strengthening of the Lebanese army.

Earlier, on December 11, it was reported that Turkey was ready, if necessary, to send military personnel to the Gaza Strip and make every effort and assume responsibility for the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue.
