The air temperature in Moscow will change dramatically several times during the pre-holiday week. The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, told about this on Monday, December 22.

The weather forecaster noted that on December 23 and 24, the weather will be 5 degrees below normal.

"It will be the end of the month, and the temperature will drop to -16 and even to -19 degrees on December 24. And then the warming, right up to the thaw. On December 25 and especially on December 26, the temperature will approach zero. And then the temperature drops again," Vilfand said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

According to the expert, three days before the New Year, the air temperature will be -5...-10 degrees.

He added that it is too early to make a forecast for December 31.
