Chilean presidential candidate Jara admits defeat in the election

Opposition conservative politician and future President of Chile, Jose Antonio Casta, was congratulated by Jeanette Jara, candidate of the ruling center-left Unity for Chile coalition, on his victory in the second round of elections.

"I just spoke with President—elect Jose Antonio Cast to wish him success for the good of Chile," she wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to the official report, with 83.43% of polling stations counted, Caste won 58.61% of the votes.

Earlier, on October 20, it was reported that Senator Rodrigo Paz won the second round of the presidential election in Bolivia, beating his opponent Jorge "Tuto" Quiroga by the number of votes. It is noted that the politician will take office on November 8.
