Rusnano Group has filed a lawsuit against the former heads of the company to recover 11.9 billion rubles in losses incurred during the implementation of the Crocus project to create a production of magnetoresistive random access memory (MRAM) in Russia. This was announced on December 13 by the company's press service.

"The lawsuit is part of a systematic effort to restore the capital, rights and reputation of the state—owned company, which is conducted in close cooperation with law enforcement and supervisory authorities," TASS quoted Rusnano Director for Special Assignments Evgeny Frolov as saying.

According to him, back in 2011, the board members and curators of the project ignored its technological risks and did not create mechanisms to protect the interests of the state. For nine years, the financing of the project increased uncontrollably, despite its unprofitability and violation of control points. The project did not achieve its stated goals, and a significant part of the invested funds was lost, Frolov stressed.

Rusnano noted that systematic work on the analysis of unfair investment decisions has been carried out since the beginning of the anti-crisis program and covers a number of projects implemented with violations.

On October 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with Sergey Kulikov, Chairman of the Management Board of Rusnano, said that the financial recovery of the group was almost complete, and the condition had changed for the better. Kulikov clarified that Rusnano has focused on several areas that meet government requests and national goals. He added that when choosing partners, not only the company's assets were taken into account, but also the needs of the ministries within the framework of the development strategy.
