It is impossible to resolve the conflict in Ukraine before the Catholic Christmas on December 25. This statement was made on December 12 by former Prime Minister of Ukraine (2010-2014) Mykola Azarov.

He noted that the main reason is the position of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and European countries.

"There is no chance. First of all, because of the position of Western countries and Zelensky," TASS quoted Azarov as saying.

According to him, the situation will not allow reaching an agreement by the specified date.

Earlier, on December 11, Alexei Chepa, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Relations, said that achieving peace in Ukraine by Christmas would be a gift for all believers.
