The expert spoke about AI's help in shaping a sustainable financial strategy.
Russians make dozens of small financial decisions every day, which often go unnoticed, but can "eat up" up to 30% of the family budget. Dmitry Titov, head of the Quality Management and AI Implementation Department at AKFIX-RUS, told Izvestia on December 14 how to reduce unnecessary expenses and manage money using artificial intelligence.
According to the expert, modern banking services have become personal financial assistants. Such systems track the user's spending structure, analyze regular write-offs, offer personalized recommendations, and help form sustainable financial habits.
"The AI assistant can do more than just count money. It independently tracks your subscriptions and cuts off unnecessary ones. Analyzes the seasonal spending schedule to predict future expenses. And it makes reminders if you spend too much money in a certain category. This approach turns boring accounting into a well—thought-out financial strategy," Titov said.
A separate area is smart shopping. The technology automatically compares prices, analyzes stock history, and selects favorable offers and cashback options. Artificial intelligence completely takes over the routine of finding the best prices, allowing people to buy consciously and without overpaying. According to the expert, savings on large purchases can reach 15 thousand rubles, and in household expenses — up to 2 thousand rubles per month.
In addition, the fight against "silent" write-offs is also relevant for many. Titov explained that users often do not notice automatic payments for services that have not been used for a long time. AI algorithms in banking applications help identify unnecessary subscriptions and warn about recurring payments, reducing monthly expenses by 300-1,5 thousand rubles.
Grocery basket planning applications also provide significant assistance. They make a shopping list based on the menu, select recipes from promotional items, and reduce the number of impulsive purchases. Savings for a family can reach 4 thousand rubles per month.
"AI in banking applications analyzes transactions around the clock, blocks suspicious transactions, and is constantly learning new fraud schemes ahead of intruders. This multi—level security system allows users to make payments with confidence, saving not only money, but also valuable time and nerves," the specialist said.
He concluded that the use of AI assistants can reduce up to 20-30% of family expenses. With an income of 60 thousand rubles, this makes it possible to save from 12 thousand to 18 thousand monthly, which becomes an important resource for solving financial problems. Titov added that regular access to digital tools simplifies money management and helps to build a more sustainable financial strategy in the long term.
In September, I will choose from the financial marketplace survey.<url>" it turned out that parents between the ages of 30 and 40 have increased spending on additional classes for children related to neural networks and programming. The study involved 3,000 Russians aged 18 to 50 years. According to the survey results, the average monthly expenses for neural network and children's programming clubs increased by more than a third, from 4.2 thousand rubles in 2024 to 5.7 thousand rubles in 2025.
