A suspect in the theft of 12 horses and drug possession was detained in Tyva.
In the Kyzylsky district, police officers detained a 43-year-old man suspected of stealing 12 horses, as well as illegal drug possession. This was reported on December 10 in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Republic of Tyva.
"As a result of operational search measures, the criminal investigation officers established the location of the stolen horses, as well as the person involved in this theft," the department said.
The stolen animals were returned to the owner. During a search of the suspect's home, the police found marijuana weighing more than 700 grams. The man admitted that he collected the drug for personal use. A criminal case has been opened against him under Part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, for which imprisonment of up to 10 years is provided.
Earlier, on November 5, it was reported that in Altai, police officers detained a 38-year-old local resident for possession of 18 kg of marijuana. The man collected and dried the plant for personal use. The seized substance was sent for examination, which confirmed its composition. A criminal case has been opened against the attacker under the article on illegal drug possession.
