Starting from January 1 next year, a new type of social contract will be introduced in Russia for demobilized participants in a special military operation. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Labor of Russia.

"One of the priorities of the state social policy today is the comprehensive support of our heroes and their families. To do this, starting in 2026, demobilized veterans of their military will have the opportunity to conclude a social contract in order to carry out business activities without assessing the level of per capita income," said Anton Kotyakov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.

According to this contract, former fighters will be able to receive 350 thousand rubles at a time without estimating the average per capita family income. This money is intended for the development of their business. In addition, the demobilized will be able to receive support for training or advanced training.

The innovation will come into force in accordance with a government decree that was developed to implement the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin following his meeting with employees and wards of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation in March 2025.

On August 18, Putin, during a meeting with the head of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, instructed to improve support mechanisms for the participants of the SVO and their families, including the provision of one-stop services. The Russian leader also pointed out the need to simplify the procedure.
