The State Duma accused Europe of acting against the interests of Ukraine
European countries, advocating for the continuation of the conflict and imposing unrealistic settlement scenarios on Kiev, are acting against Ukraine's interests. This was stated by State Duma deputy Alexei Chepa on Monday, December 1.
"Europe obviously really wants to return to the negotiation process for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. But she wants to do it based only on her own interests. And they do not coincide with either the interests of Russia or the United States. And, moreover, even with the interests of Ukraine," the politician said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
Chepa admitted that the EU countries could return to the settlement process and benefit along the way, but only if there is a change of leadership.
"If the leadership changes, maybe the policy will change. But Russophobia hinders the progressive development of these countries," the deputy concluded.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Europe had not used all its chances to participate in negotiations to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, RT reports.
The head of the Foreign Ministry noted on November 30 that Europe had withdrawn itself from negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. 360.ru .

On November 29, Bloomberg reported that European states were excluded from discussing a significant part of the details of the peace plan negotiations and were allowed only to a narrow range of discussions.
