The State Duma proposed to ban paid parking near apartment buildings
It is planned to submit to the State Duma a bill that would ban paid parking in residential areas of apartment buildings throughout Russia. This was reported by the TASS news agency on December 1.
Now such a ban can be introduced by decision of the regions, the deputies intend to bring it to the federal level. The document will be submitted to the lower house of parliament by Sergei Mironov, chairman of the Fair Russia party, and Dmitry Gusev, first deputy head of the faction.
According to Mironov, the modern approach to the organization of paid parking "does not comply with the principles of justice," which leads to an increase in social tension, so the rules for collecting money for paid parking must be changed. In turn, Gusev stressed that "paying for the opportunity to park at your own house is unacceptable."
Earlier, on November 18, the State Duma proposed giving large families the right to free parking throughout Russia for one car, regardless of the specifics of regional legislation.
