Eismont: Belarus' negotiations with the United States are in an active phase
Belarus' negotiations with various countries, primarily the United States, are in an active phase. This was announced on November 22 by Natalia Eismont, the press secretary of the President of the country.
"Negotiations with various countries, and above all with the United States, are currently in an active phase. We have always said and are saying that the Republic of Belarus is open to dialogue and is ready to consider proposals from all interested parties," BelTA quoted Eismont as saying.
The press secretary stressed that President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko consistently advocates for the stabilization of the situation in the region and the establishment of a dialogue between the states. According to her, the Belarusian leader considers it fundamentally important to resolve all disputed issues exclusively by peaceful means.
On October 14, Lukashenko said that Minsk was ready to conclude a big deal with Washington if the interests of the republic were taken into account, on which, in his opinion, the resumption of relations with the United States should be based. On November 4, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Treasury Department officially lifted sanctions against the Belarusian airline Belavia.
