A cache of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with homemade ammunition for drones filled with chemical warfare agents has been identified in the special military operation zone near Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported to Izvestia on November 22 by the press service of the regional directorate of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation.

According to the service, the cache was discovered in a dugout of Ukrainian militants during joint operational and combat activities of the regional directorate of the FSB of Russia and the military counterintelligence agencies of the Central Military District.

The cache contained improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the form of laboratory tubes containing the banned substance chloropicrin, as well as charges of plasticite and containers of gasoline. When detonated, such a structure turns into a chemical warfare agent with a suffocating effect — phosgene.

"The investigation has established that orders for the manufacture and combat use of seized chemical weapons against Russian military personnel were given by the commander of the 108th separate assault battalion of the 59th separate motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Captain Filimonov Sergey Fedorovich," the report says.

The first military investigative department of the Military Investigative Department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the United Group of Forces has already initiated criminal cases under articles on preparation for a crime, organization of a crime, murder and the use of prohibited methods of warfare.

On November 19, employees of the Russian FSB directorate for the DPR detained a local resident suspected of treason and preparing a terrorist act in the interests of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. It was clarified that the accused, on the instructions of Ukrainian curators, extracted components for the manufacture of improvised explosive devices from caches. He also carried out surveillance on a high-ranking official of the regional government and planned to commit a terrorist attack.
